Exodus in action.
Rugby League Jamaica has announced that music production company, Rapid Production, will be front of shirt sponsors for the Jamaica Exodus Men’s 9s team down to contest the Naples 9s (USARL 9s) in Florida, on May 20. Exodus finished as runners up in 2022 and are looking to repeat a strong performance in this year’s tournament.
The Exodus is a representative team featuring Jamaican players primarily residing in the USA and Canada. Several are former full or current internationals, the team will be captained by Renaldo Wade, a current full Jamaica international.
Mike Williams, Exodus team manager, expressed gratitude for Rapid Production’s support, stating, "We are happy to have the support of Rapid Production. It is hard to accomplish much without corporate support, and Rapid Production shares our vision of empowering Jamaicans to pursue their ambition to represent the country. We are hoping for another strong performance from the team in this year’s edition of the tournament."
The men’s bracket will feature 8 teams divided into two groups. Exodus will face New York Roots, Southwest Florida Copperheads and Cleveland Rockers. The second group features Carolina Storm, Jamaica Hurricanes, San Diego Barracudas and Miami Speed. The Women’s bracket will see four team Carolina Blues, New York Roots, Carolina Storm, and Jamaica Reggae Warriors.
